BLACK PONY GALLERY

Black Pony Gallery was founded in 2019 by Lisa Howie. It exists exclusively online representing 13 contemporary artists from the Atlantic World including the islands of the Azores, Bermuda, The Bahamas, Cayman, and Cuba. The artwork in the gallery forms a collection, a whole body of work, telling its own story of the Atlantic World. Presenting its own characters, determined by its own setting, its own tensions and triumphs.

The corridor from The Azores to Trinidad, is a fascinating geographical space. The intertwined cultural and historical narratives of the Islands, intersected across centuries, is its own discourse and art market. With an abundance of  talented artists across the region, Black Pony Gallery, as a virtual space, aims to remove the challenges of location and access and through that more artists from the Atlantic World will be recognized, collected and featured in international exhibitions, fairs and creative projects.
