Proud owner of an extensive art collection and 65 years of stories to share, Galerie Monnin’s mission is to provide a knowledgeable image of creators living in Haiti today. As the third generation from a family of gallerists that opened the Galerie Monnin to the public in Haïti in 1956, Gaël Monnin is now the executive director and curator. The gallery strives to be on the cutting edge of the artistic and cultural development of Haiti; and this despite all the socio-political turmoil, the misadventures and the ups and downs of this singular little country of fiercely individual creators.
